Wheelchair #61

It's a whole lot of fun giving wheelchairs away!  Today's recipient was Rosa, a mother of twin boys, Abraham and Ernest. Both boys were born with disabilities, but Abraham has suffered the most, undergoing three operations on this feet and legs, and three operations to correct his eyesight.

Rosa was touched by this unexpected gift, and related me us the challenges of caring for two boys with disabilities, her voice breaking at times with emotion.  Rosa heard about the free wheelchairs through friends who live nearby.  Their little girl Jennifer also recently received a chair.  David was glad he was able to with me.

More good news today...the church raised over $1000 U.S. over the last few weeks.  We're closing the margin, slowly but surely.  We still need your help, by the way.  Please get in touch with us if you'd like to be part of the blessing!

Quote of the Day: Experiencing culture fatigue is not a sign that we shouldn't have come or that we're not "spiritual" enough to cope with crosscultural ministry. Rather, it is a very natural and normal phenomenon caused by falling into the gaps between our home culture and our new one. The key is to find bridges that will carry us over these gaps of cultural differences.
